Anyone who is a member of their local affiliate with proof of membership can attend the CAPS credential program at the TAA member rate.
The Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) credential course was developed for Regional/District Managers, Maintenance Directors, Mid-Upper Level Management, Marketing Directors, and those aspiring to move to that level. Industry experience requirement is either CAM, ARM, RAM with 2 years of apartment management experience OR a Property Supervisor with 2 years of multi-site experience.

NOTE: The CAPS credential program exam is taken in a proctored or via Live Online Proctor (LOP) environment.

About the Your Facilitator:
Alex Jackiw is the Chief Operating Officer with Argenta Property Management Group. She previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer with Hayes Gibson Property Services. Alex is Past Chairman of the Board for NAA, Board member and Past Chair of the Virginia Tech Property Management Advisory Board, Board member, and Past President of Ball State University Property Management Advisory Board. She is also a licensed real estate broker, holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) and Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor CAPS® Credentials, and has a Masters Degree in Education.
Alex has experience managing LIHTC communities, HUD-regulated properties, purpose-built student housing, conventional market-rate properties, full-service retirement communities, and nursing homes. Her experience includes all aspects of property and asset management, marketing, training, consulting, troubled property turnarounds, and new business development.
She is a respected industry speaker and has presented programs to industry trade groups throughout the U.S. and Canada. Alex remains active at NAA and has served as the subject matter expert for both the CAM, CAM Student, and CAPS credential program rewrites.
She was inducted into the National Apartment Association Hall of Fame in 2018, and a life-long learner and industry educator who has established the NAAEI Alexandra Jackiw Diversity & Inclusion scholarship fund to provide professional development opportunities for men and women who are members of a racial/ethnic minority group, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender or a person with a disability.
