This is Us: Angela & Berry

TAA's Membership Committee created the This is Us series to showcase the lasting friendships that can grow when working together as volunteers at TAA.

The stories in our series follow a Supplier member and an Owner-Operator member in a conversation surrounding how they met and started doing business together, as well as the professional growth they’ve experienced after becoming TAA members.

Berry Craven, Regional Service Manager for Ginkgo Residential, remembers first meeting Angela Roberts with Trible’s Inc, at a TAA function where he was a panelist. 

He recalls, “When we met, I told Angela I would reach out to her and... forgot. About a year later, she sponsored a board meeting and jokingly reminded me that I forgot. Afterwards, I opened accounts for all of our communities and have been happily doing business ever since."

Angela adds, “His forgetting to call me became a running joke between us. I enjoy working with Berry and his maintenance team, I consider them “forever” customers and friends.

Berry says without being involved in TAA, he wouldn’t have had the pleasure of meeting and working with Angela and Trible’s. “With Trible’s as a supplier and Angela as our rep, my service managers and residents have benefitted in time and money saved, not waiting on parts and even having parts delivered same day in many cases. My ability to overcome hurdles, especially with material supply chain and lead time issues, has been greatly improved just by the network of suppliers that I have met through the TAA.”

“Having Angela and Trible’s here in the state gives my teams options they wouldn’t have with the other parts suppliers in this area. And working together with the TAA strengthens our relationship continuously. On more than one occasion Angela has personally delivered needed items, the same day we ordered if her driver’s routes and trucks were already full for the day.”

Angela says, “Berry and I met because of TAA and our relationship and friendship has grown because of it. I respect Berry and he is always a pleasure to talk with. Since our initial rollout of his region, we have opened accounts in other regions of Ginkgo.”

Now that’s what we call a great success story!
